Overview
Island Timberlands properties are in proximity of many Vancouver Island and coastal communities. Sustainable forestry is balancing our business with community values.
Here are some examples of our community support:
Gently Down the Creek

Island Timberlands supports the "Gently Down the Creek Program". The dedicated organizers of the program put many school children in grade four and under through this wonderful fisheries and forestry educational program.
The River Never Sleeps Festival - Fanny Bay Salmonid Enhancement Society (FBSES)

Island Timberlands was proud to help with the event by providing financial support and joining the display team with our forest management booth. FBSES put on a wonderful event with a scrumptious oyster lunch and great activities and learning experience for the kids (and adults).
McLean Mill

The historians at the McLean Mill are reminiscing in real life as they work toward restoring their circa 1923 Steam Donkey. Island Timberlands provided the logs for the skids to get the project started. The mill site is surrounded by Island Timberlands property. We hope when the steam donkey is operational they can try their hand at doing some logging for us!
