Island Timberlands is a private timberlands business focused on growing
and harvesting high quality timber and other forest products from coastal
British Columbia. The second largest private timberlands holding in
British Columbia and the second highest value private timberland estate
in Canada, our timberlands are comprised of 258,000 hectares of high
quality Douglas-fir, western red cedar, hemlock and balsam.
Our Span of Operations
Our timberlands are located on Vancouver Island, the coastal mainland
and the Queen Charlotte Islands in the following areas:
- North Island (Campbell River, Port McNeill)
- West Island (Port Alberni)
- Stillwater (Powell River)
- Queen Charlotte Islands (Queen Charlotte City)
- South Island (Nanaimo, Duncan)

Key Operating Overview
Island Timberlands has 30 years of production in current
standing timber inventory
Our Timberlands are managed in accordance with one or more of
the following standards:
- ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
- AF&PA Sustainable Forestry Initiative
- CSA Z809 Sustainable Forest Management System
Island Timberlands will continue to maintain an open dialogue
with local stakeholders.
Markets for Our Timber
The unique mix and high quality of our timber, combined with
our location on the west coast of British Columbia allows us to
meet the needs of a growing and worldwide customer base. Today,
our sales are approximately evenly split between our customers
in Canada, the United States, and Asia.
